1772 to 1891 Marriages - St. Landry Parish

This marriage record project has taken me several years to transcribe thousands of marriage records from 1772 to 1891 in St. Landry Parish. Remember that St. Landry Parish included Acadia, Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, Evangeline and Jefferson Davis Parishes in earlier times. So if you are researching your history in one of those parishes, there may be marriages for your ancestors in these records. 15,793 marriages are posted on these pages. The marriages are organized in alphabetical order which includes the surnames of both spouses (second revision 2021).  This caused the marriages to be duplicated because of the inclusion of both spouses' surnames.  This will help facilitate research where the researcher may have one spouses's name and not the other.  Click on a name group to find your record.  There are approximately 300-500 names/marriages per page, so you will have to scroll or use the "find" function on your browser.
