Owen Bolton Cemetery

Location: From Natchitoches, travel west on LA Hwy 6 to Hagewood, turn south on LA Hwy 117; travel 18 miles south to the Kisatchie Forest Work Center; turn right west on Doss Montgomery Road Scenic View Drive; travel about two and one-half miles, and turn right at the Owen-Bolton Cemetery sign. Travel one-fourth mile, take the left fork of the road and travel one-half mile to the top of the hill and turn right. The cemetery fence can be seen from this point, although there is no sign at this intersection. This cemetery is located on Kisatchie Forest lands and these minor roads are often in poor condition.

The marker for John F. Bolton is located in the row prior to the other marked graves; the remaining four marked graves are listed in the order of location. While the cemetery is fenced and mowed occassionally, it is no longer in use. There are a number of gravesites marked only with concrete slabs or stones.
