The American Cemetery is located on Second Street near the entrance to Northwestern State University. Located on a rolling hill, the cemetery has many shade trees, flowering trees and shrubs. Graveled driveways wind throughout the cemetery. Parking is also available across the street, courtesy of the nearby Holy Cross Church.

Caledonia Cornelia Marrs was educated at the Nazareth Academy of Bardstown. . . in 1848, married the late J.M.B. Tucker. To this union nine children were born, six of whom survive: Beverly, John M. of Shreveport LA, Mrs. Ernest Hertzog of St. Louis, Jas. B., Callie M., and Lily Maud.
